Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What is the 'sign' for bored in sign language?

Answer: Your index finger, right next to your nose twisting back and forth.

Actually, you put your index finger right up against your nose. If someone didn't know that you knew sign language, it looks a little bit like you are picking your nose. Sign language is fun and interesting to learn. There are so many words that really make sense.
2. What could we do in the 60s if we were bored?

Answer: Play outside

We could run around all day long and have so much fun. We'd play hide and seek or tag. Those were the good old days. Forget Nintendo or Game Boy's. They didn't exist, not back then. Now days, kids plop themselves in front of television to play Nintendo, X-Box, Sega and many other games.
3. I was not a big fan of school, but I loved recess time. We'd go out and play games in the parking lot of our school. What game did we NOT play in the late 60s?

Answer: SpongeBob Squarepants Tag

I personally loved Red Rover and Dodge Ball. I never did very good at either one, but it was always fun trying to break the line in Red Rover. "Red rover, red rover, send Linkan on over..."
4. What was NOT a favorite television show in the early 70s?

Answer: Gilligan's Island

"Gilligan's Island" debuted in 1964 and was on until 1967. "Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale a tale of a fateful trip..." I loved this show. Mary Ann was my favorite character from that show.

"The Brady Bunch" favorite character, was Peter. What a cutie! In "Partridge Family" it was David "yum yum" Cassidy. Samantha was a cool witch with a cool twitch of the nose in "Bewitched".
5. Which of these was NOT a rock group of the 60s and/or 70s?

Answer: 'N Sync

I have not ever been a major fan of rock music. I like the slower mellower music. I enjoyed disco at the time of "Saturday Night Fever" also. I did see Aerosmith in concert one time and only knew one song. I felt like an old maid! By the way, the one hit was "Sweet Emotion". Great song Tyler!
6. Which of these novels was NOT a famous children's book?

Answer: The Hippets

"Charlotte's Web" was both a cute book and movie, written by E.B. White. It is a story about a pig and a spider that make friends with each other. Oh Wilbur!

"The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" takes Dorothy up, up, up into Oz. Her house landed on the Wicked Witch. All Dorothy wanted, was to go home.

"Harry Potter" has been very popular in the children's area. J.K. Rowling hit a major success with this boy wizard.

I've heard of the Hobbits, but never heard of the Hippets before. Maybe it's cats or dogs that you hold on your hips. Get it? Hip pets? LOL, I kill myself sometimes!
7. These movies are action packed and full of adventure, not boring at all. All of these are "James Bond" movies, with one exception. Which is NOT one of his films?

Answer: Live and Let Live

Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton and Sean Connery (among others) all played the role of James. The film was actually called "Live and Let Die". Oh James, you are so handsome. Oh James, you never age. Oh James, keep that same buff body for years to come!
8. I like family game night. Let's pull out some games and have fun. What game can we NOT play?

Answer: Riskful

One of my favorite games when I'm bored is Monopoly. You can play this game literally for days and days. When I was younger, my brothers and I played this game for three days straight. We had IOU's everywhere. But we had fun!

There is a game called Risk, but not a Riskful. You could have been full of Risk though. I know, next answer please.
9. When you are sending an e-mail or chatting online, which would you usually NOT say?

Answer: BYOB

If you were going to a party you would say BYOB for 'bring your own booze or beer.'

In the Internet you can use BRB for 'be right back.'
You can LOL or just 'laugh out loud' like this.
You can even C U L8R or type with R U OK in emails. This is appropriate in some chat rooms.
10. How many animals did Moses put on the ark?

Answer: None of these options

Noah built the ark silly, not Moses. Moses just parted the Red Sea. That's all, not much. Can you imagine how one man could build an entire ark with just himself. This must have taken him years and years. But then again, he did live over 600 years.

Well, now that you are still bored silly, why don't you play some more quizzes! Have fun and I hope you enjoyed this time we spent together!
