7. Which of the following, if called by an umpire in Major League Baseball, is the batter automatically out?

Answer: Infield Fly Rule

The INFIELD FLY RULE occurs when there is a fair fly ball (not including a line drive nor an attempted bunt) which can be caught by an infielder with ordinary effort, when first and second, or first, second and third bases are occupied, before two are out.

The Umpire can invoke the rule and the batter is automatically out and the base runners do not have to try to advance.
