1. Fort Severn is this province's northernmost community.

Answer: Ontario

Fort Severn First Nation is located on the shores of Hudson Bay, Ontario and is inaccessible by road during the summer months. When the Europeans settled the New World, they established a Hudson's Bay Trading Post at this location in 1689, making it one of the earliest fur trading posts established in the New World.

The reserve was later relocated slightly in 1973 to the mouth of the Severn River to make shipping access easier. The community is relatively small in size, averaging a population of around 400 citizens.

Marl is a form of mudstone that contains a variety of silt and clay. Marl lakes are unique as they often change color depending on the climate and temperature. The largest marl lake in the world is Little Limestone Lake located roughly 500 km north of Winnipeg, Manitoba.

This lake is typically a turquoise lake that changes to a milky while color when the water becomes warm due to a calcite reaction.

Saskatchewan became Canada's tenth province/territory when it split from the Northwest Territories on September 1, 1905. It is centrally located and landlocked sitting surrounded by the provinces of Alberta and Manitoba, the Northwest Territories, and by the US states of Montana and North Dakota. Saskatchewan is economically focused on the agriculture industry and produces large quantities of wheat, rye, canola, oats, and barley.

It is also the largest exporter of mustard seed in the world.

Great Big Sea were a Canadian folk rock band from Newfoundland and Labrador and were declared "retired" in 2013. They were known for their upbeat music that centred around Newfoundland folk songs and Irish and Scottish heritage. From 1997-99 they landed three Top Ten hits on the Canadian Music Charts. Their most successful hit was "Ordinary Day" which went to number three in 1997.

The Royal Tyrrell Museum is located in Drumheller, Alberta and has been a tourist attraction since in opened in 1985. The central focus of the museum is its collection of fossils and dinosaur exhibits. Within the museum is a collection of over 130 000 fossils. An exhibit in the museum catering to dinosaur findings is known as the "Dinosaur Hall" and has over 40 dinosaur skeletons including a Tyrannosaurus Rex and Albertosaurus.

The Nanaimo bar is a three layered dessert item that is typically made up of a graham and coconut crust on the bottom, a custard filling in the middle, and a chocolate layer on the top. The earliest findings of this type of dessert has been traced back to 1953 in an Edith Adams' cookbook but was referred to as a "London Fog Bar".

In Canada, its popularity stems from a competition to find Canada's favorite confection. The winner, Joyce Hardcastle, was a resident of Nanaimo, British Columbia, hence the given name of the confection in Canada.
7. A battle between General Wolfe and Montcalm took place in this province.

The Battle of the Plains of Abraham took place on September 13, 1759 in Quebec City, Canada. The British under the command of General James Wolfe and the French under the command of the Marquis de Montcalm faced off in battle during what has been billed a part of the Seven Years War.

In what was only a thirty minute battle, the Marquis de Montcalm was shot and killed by musket fire. The battle was a significant point in Canadian history as it allowed the British to occupy Quebec City and to further move west and take control of Canada.

The fiddlehead is an edible fern often harvested as a vegetable. Eaters should be forewarned however as some varieties are believed to be carcinogenic and associated with bracken poisoning. In North America, the fiddlehead is associated with the regions of New Brunswick, Quebec and Maine although it is also found in Nova Scotia, Vermont, and New Hampshire. Fiddleheads are sold both fresh and frozen and can be boiled, steamed or fried and are often used to make salads, or pickled.

On July 1, 1867, Canada officially became an independent nation and the four original provinces were Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick. Prince Edward Island finally joined Canada as an official province on July 1, 1873.

Actress Ellen Page was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia and was Oscar nominated for her efforts in the movies "Juno" and "Inception". Numerous athletes have been bred in this province including NHL'ers Sidney Crosby and Al MacInnes.
