Boeing was started by William Boeing who was born October 1st, 1881 in Detroit Michigan. He earned his fortune trading forest lands in Washington state. The First plane that Boeing assembled was a seaplane in 1916. The 747-100 took its first flight on February 9, 1969.
2. Who was the first woman jockey to race at a U.S. parimutuels track?

Answer: Diana Crump

She accomplished this feat in February of 1969. She was also the first woman to ride in the Kentucky Derby one year later, in 1970, riding Fathom.

Sharon Tate died on August 9, 1969 in Bel Air, California. At the time of her death she was married to Movie Director Roman Polanski.
