The Cluny museum houses medieval art including the famous series of Lady and the Unicorn tapestries, the Jeu de Paume is the old location for Impressionist art and currently houses contemporary art, and the Musee de l'Orangerie houses Impressionist art but is much smaller than the Orsay.

Sainte-Chapelle is one of the world's premier architectural jewels and is within the complex of the Palais de Justice. It has magnificent stained glass windows and two chapels on top of each other, the lower for commoners, and the upper for the royal entourage.
