Urbis is a spectacular addition to the Manchester skyline, its green glass wedge dominating the renewed heart of Corporation Street.

The IRA bomb of 15 June 1996 exploded right next to this pillar box. Although dislodged, the box survived intact, and subsequently, the post inside it was delivered with an apologetic note from the Post Office regretting the delays.
