1. Mendenhall Glacier Caves

As the name suggests these are ice caves inside a hollow glacier. The glacier is a short distance away from the capital of Alaska, Juneau. You will need to use a kayak to reach the periphery of the glacier and then climb. Inside the caves the ice has a beautiful blue colour. The glacier is twelve miles long.

This is Yellowstone's largest hot spring. The spring radiates colours from its centre that are similar to white colour going through a prism. The colouration is achieved thanks to bacteria that thrive in the hot conditions of the spring.

The canyon was created by wind erosion over a time period of millions of years. It is located in the Lake Powell Navajo Tribal Park. There are two distinct parts of the canyon named upper and lower. Is a small island in Lake Huron. The island is shaped like a turnip rising out of the water. The bottom is slim and white and becomes wider as it rises towards the sky. A truly amazing geological phenomenon that is accessible by kayak.

The park offers some fantastic scenery that combines mountains, lakes and rivers. The flora and fauna abound in this park that covers an area in excess of one million acres.
10. Carlsbad Cavern

The cavern, together with more than 100 other caverns, can be found in the Chihuahuan Desert. Made of limestone the cavern is full of stalagmites and stalactites and it is ideal for exploration. The Big Room is a large chamber in the cave that it is over 1200 meters long and close to 200 meters wide.
