Like everything that is unpredictable, it is not universally agreed on whether Mawsynram is the wettest place in the world or not. Some years it is and other years it is not. Nevertheless it has a great deal of rain. The state of Meghalaya, India, reportedly is the rainiest place on Earth and the village of Mawsynram in Meghalaya receives 467 inches of rain per year.

Answer: Mount Emei

Mount Emie is in the Sichuan Province of China situated at the western edge of the Sichuan Basin. It is one of the Four Sacred Buddhist Mountains of China. It rains pretty much all year-round, more than 250 days per year, with it being heavier in the summer, monsoon season, with more than 70% of its rain happening between June and September.

Colombia's climate consists of six natural regions which depends on the altitude, temperature, humidity, winds and rainfall. Tutunendo is located in Quibdo municipality and is reputed to have a greater rainfall and biodiversity than any other district of Colombia.

I am sure the arguments will continue between the two, but for the purpose of this question Hawaii covers both places.

Bioka Island is considered the wettest place in Africa. Bioko Island is located on the west coast of Africa and is the northernmost part of Equatorial Guinea. The island is volcanic and covered by beautiful tropical rain forest.
