Aconcagua (pictured), in Argentina, is the highest mountain in South America. Chimborazo (in Ecuador) and Huascaran (in Peru) are also part of the Andes range. Kosciuszko is the highest mountain in Australia.

Ponta do Seixas, also known as Cape Branco, is located in the Brazilian state of Paraiba, on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean.

With a length of just under 7,000 km, the Amazon is by far the longest river in South America, and the second-longest in the world, after the Nile in Africa. It rises in the Peruvian Andes, then flows generally eastwards through Colombia and Brazil, reaching the Atlantic Ocean in the Brazilian state of Para.
The city of Manaus is located on its shores in the Brazilian State of Amazonas, and had a population of nearly two million in 2013.

Cape Froward is located in the Magallanes Region of Chile, on the shoreline of Magellan Strait.
