Answer: Suzhou and Hangzhou

The saying goes (in Chinese): "Shang you tian tang, xia you Su-Hang", meaning, literally: "Above there is heaven, below there is Suzhou and Hangzhou", a tribute to the beauty of these cities. Hangzhou is the capital of Zhejiang province, while Suzhou is an elegant city in Jiangsu of fine gardens and extensive waterways. Hence the fact it is sometimes called "Venice of the Orient".
2. Which of these cities is located at the mouth of the Chang Jiang (the Yangtze River)?

Answer: Shanghai

Shanghai is situated at the location where the Chang Jiang, or Yangtze, empties into the East China Sea. It is also the largest city in China, and one of the country's most economically and commercially robust cities. In 2004 Shanghai boasts the tallest free-standing structure in Asia, the 468-meter (1 245-foot) tall Oriental Pearl TV Tower.

During the summer, temperatures in Nanjing can go up to 44 degrees Celsius, making it one of the hottest places in China. Nanjing is situated along the Chang Jiang (Yangtze). Three other locations on or around the Chang Jiang also report extreme temperatures in the summer; Wuhan, Chongqing, and the Sichuan Basin in southwestern China.

The Zhu Jiang is more commonly known in the West as the Pearl River. Its name derives from a small stony island that originally lay in the center of the river called Hai Zhu, or Sea Pearl. Today, since the river has shifted course somewhat, the island forms part of the riverbank.

The Zhu Jiang itself is formed by the merging of the Xi, Bei, and Dong Jiang in central Guangdong northwest of Guangzhou.

Jinggangshan is a peak located among the Luoxiao Mountains between Hunan and Jiangxi. The mountain has a rich history. For centuries, it was notorious as an impoverished and underdeveloped hideout for bandits. In October 1928, after the failed Autumn Harvest Uprising in Changsha, Mao Zedong, the famous Chinese communist leader fled with his supporters to Jinggangshan and made it his temporary base.

Tai Hu is a placid, undisturbed lake near Suzhou surrounded by forested mountains and dotted with islands. Fish and lotus plants thrive due to its clean environment, and while it is one of the four largest freshwater lakes in China, it averages only two meters in depth. Hongze Hu is located further north.

Its original name was Bofuqian Hu. During the Sui Dynasty, the Emperor Yang Di gave it its present name. The lake averages 4 meters in depth.

Wuyi Shan (Wuyi Mountain)is located in western Fujian province. It boasts many attractive physical features, including the Nine-Twist Stream, an immensely beautiful waterway that reflects the words of the ancient poets and the brushstrokes of the landscape artists. Other impressive natural features include the Great King Peak, the Jade Maiden Peak, and the Taoyuan Cave.
