Paul Gauguin (born in Paris on June 7, 1848 - died at Atuona, Īles Marquises, on May 8,1903) was French. Vincent van Gogh lived in France, Belgium, England and the Netherlands, but was born on March 30, 1858 in Zundert in the Netherlands. He died on July 29, 1890 in Auvers-sur-Oise, France. Rembrandt van Rijn was born (in 1606 in Leiden) and died (in 1669 in Amsterdam) in the Netherlands. Johannes Vermeer was born in 1632 in Delft and died in 1675, also in Delft in the Netherlands.
