Answer: Albuquerque

Albuquerque, on the banks of the Rio Grande, had a metropolitan population of around 800,000 in 2007.
2. Which is the largest city in the Lehigh Valley region of Pennsylvania, and the third largest in the state altogether?

Answer: Allentown

Immortalised in a 1982 song by Billy Joel, Allentown is the county seat of Lehigh County, and one of three cties that comprise the Lehigh Valley metropolitan area, alongside Bethlehem and Easton.

Answer: Anchorage

With a metropolitan population in 2007 of around 340,000, Anchorage is by far the largest city in Alaska, although the state capital is Juneau.
4. The University of Michigan is located in which city?

Answer: Ann Arbor

Ann Arbor has been home to the University of Michigan since 1837, having been founded in Detroit 20 years earlier. The city is also the county seat of Washtenaw County.
5. Which state is nicknamed "The Natural State"?

Answer: Arkansas

The Natural State is the official nickname of Arkansas, although it has a few other traditional/unofficial ones, including the Bear State, Razorback State, Land of Opportunity, and Wonder State.

Answer: Atlanta

The state capital of Georgia, Atlanta hosted the 1996 Summer Olympics. The city's symbol is the phoenix, symbolising its rebirth from the ashes of the 1864 fire.

Answer: Atlantic City

Situated on Absecon Island in New Jersey, Atlantic City was a popular seaside resort until World War 2, when it went into major decline. Nowadays, it is one of the major gambling resorts in the USA.

Answer: Akron

The county seat of Summit County, Ohio, Akron has been associated with the rubber industry since 1869 when B.F.Goodrich opened a rubber company in the city.
9. Which city once proclaimed itself the "Helium Capital of the World"?

Answer: Amarillo

Nearly all of the world's helium supply is located within a 250-mile radius of Amarillo, the county seat of Potter County, Texas. Of course, the city is much better known as the subject of a song by Tony Christie...
10. Which city has the slogan the "Live Music Capital of the World"?

Answer: Austin

The state capital of Texas, Austin has more music venues per capita than any other US city. The University of Texas is situated in the city.
