Canton is the county seat of Stark County, Ohio. The National Football League opened the Pro Football Hall of Fame in the city in 1963, the league having been founded in Canton in 1920.
2. Which city is the site of the University of North Carolina?

Answer: Chapel Hill

Situated in Orange County, Chapel Hill is part of the "Research Triangle", alongside Raleigh and Durham. The University of North Carolina first held classes there in 1795.

The county seat of El Paso County in Colorado, Colorado Springs is home to a number of military installations. The USAF Academy opened in the city in 1954.

Carmel is located in Monterey County on California's Pacific coast. Clint Eastwood was the town's mayor from 1986-88.

The county seat of Albemarle County, Charlottesville has been home to the University of Virginia since 1819. The "three presidents" referred to in the nickname are Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, and James Monroe, all of whom lived in the area.

The county seat of Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, Charlotte was named after Queen Charlotte of Mecklenburg, wife of King George III of the United Kingdom, thus the "Queen City" moniker.
