Jefferson Finis Davis was born in Christian City, Kentucky, on June 3, 1808. He served in the Mexican War, and was elected to the U.S. Congress and House of Representatives and died in 1889.
2. What was the middle name of CSA General Thomas J. (Stonewall) Jackson?

Answer: Jonathan

Thomas Jonathan Jackson was born in Clarksburg, Virginia on January 21, 1824. He was a professor at Virginia Military Institute (VMI) and was considered by some to be the best general on either side of the Civil War Armies. Wounded at the battle of Chancellorsville, he died of his wounds on May 10, 1863.

George Armstrong Custer was born in Harrison County, Ohio December 5, 1839. He achieved success at the battle of Gettysburg. He was killed with most of his command June 25, 1876 at the battle of the Little Big Horn.
