During the Battle of Gettysburg, they captured the first CSA General, James J. Archer. His friend Gen. Doubleday was in command of the troops that captured him.
2. This CSA General said " It is my opinion that no 15,000 men can take that position." Who was it?

Answer: Longstreet

Prior to Gen. Pickett's charge, Gen. Longstreet told Gen. Lee that having been in the army he thought that the attack would fail. He wanted to attack the Union right, not the center on the line.
3. At the battle of Cedar Creek, Va. Gen. Early attacked what Union Gen.?

He died 10 May, 1863. Gen. Jackson was deeply religious. When told by the doctors there was no hope he told them "he had hoped to die on a Sunday".
