1. Who was the last CSA Gen. to die after the war ended?

Answer: Robertson

Felix Robertson lived in Texas until he died in 1928. He saw action at Shiloh, and Atlanta.
2. After the war what type work did Gen. Pickett go into?

Answer: Insurance Salesman

He became an insurance salesman in Norfolk, Va. He never forgave Gen. Lee for sending his Division in the charge at Gettysburg.
3. Where did Gen. Nathan Bedford Forrest receive his military training?

Answer: No formal military training

Known as the "Wizard of the Saddle" he had no formal military training and had only one year of formal education. He was a natural born cavalry commander.
4. What future CSA officer before the war tried to challenge "Stonewall" Jackson to a duel?

Answer: James Walker

While a student at VMI Walker tryed unsuccessfully to fight a duel with his instructor T.J. Jackson. After being disciplined by Jackson he was expelled from VMI. Years later they became friends and Gen. Jackson promoted Walker to general and gave him command of the "Stonewall Brigade".
5. Who was the last CSA general to die from combat wounds?

Answer: James Dearing

Gen. Dearing was wounded during Gen. Lee's retreat in the Appomattox campaign and died April 23, 1865.
6. Gen. Lee surrendered his Army in Wilmer McLean's house at the place called Appomattox Court House?

Answer: True

He surrendered his Army April 9, 1865 even though fighting continued about two months after the formal surrender.
7. The battle of Gettysburg occured in July 1864?

Answer: False

July 1-3 1863 in Gettysburg, Pa. The high watermark of the CSA.

Answer: Jackson

He was given this name by Gen. Bee at the battle of First Manassas.

Sumter County, the heart of Georgia in 1864.

Answer: True

Prior to appointement as Gen. of CSA forces he once ordered his troops to build an earthwork to protect Richmond. They complained they had joined to fight, but not with with picks and spades.
