Hampi is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is an archaeological location, full of ruins of the ancient city of Vijayanagar Kingdom. It is located in the Indian state of Karnataka. Full of abandoned temples, most famous over there are Virupaksha and Vithalswami Temples.

It is located on the banks of the river Tungabhadra. It is just a few kilometers away from Bangalore (Bengaluru), the capital of the state.
