Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which property is landed on the most?

Answer: Illinois Ave.

This is according to the Truman Collins Monopoly Squares Probability study (1997).
2. In the British Version, what is the equivalent of Reading Railroad?

Answer: King Cross Station

That's where Platform 9 3/4 is!
3. Of the 16 CHANCE cards, how many instruct the player to move to another square?

Answer: 10

There are only 2 COMMUNITY CHEST cards that move the player.
4. In the U.S. version of Monopoly, which Atlantic City street name is misspelled?

Answer: Marvin Gardens

The correct spelling is "Marven Gardens". It is not even a street, but rather a housing area outside Atlantic City.
5. How much money comes in the bank?

Answer: $15140

This is also the cash prize for the international competition. Tournaments are currently held every four years. The U.S. edition Monopoly board is used at the World Championship level, while national variants are used at the national level.
6. On the jail space, what is the name of the character behind bars?

Answer: Jake the Jailbird

Officer Edgar Mallory sent him to jail. I wonder what he did.
7. Which square is located between Pennsylvania Railroad and Community Chest?

Answer: St. James Place

This is on the second side of the board, among the orange properties.
8. How long did the longest recorded game take?

Answer: 1680 hours

Unfortunately, no other details on this marathon game can be found. It is the commonly accepted Internet search result however, and I suppose Hasbro can be trusted. There are even records for longest game in a tree, or longest played upside-down.
9. How many hotel pieces are there?

Answer: 12

There are 32 houses.
10. What is the total sale price of all spaces combined?

Answer: $5690

That's an average of just over $203 dollars each.
