This Turkish staple is simple to make and very filling. The pastry is rolled very thinly and filled with feta cheese, meat and/or vegetables. The pastry is then rolled up and baked in the oven. The dish is popular in North Africa and Turkey, where the pastry dough is normally boiled beforehand, then filled with feta cheese, chopped parsley, and oil, before baking. This is called "water borek".
