Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What is the name of the level 5 power in the "Vampire: The Masquerade" Discipline of Valeren?

Answer: Vengeance of Samiel

Valeren is the discipline of the Salubri Antitribu, a warrior offshoot of the peaceful "main clan". Sameal was the legendary founder of the sect and this power allows you to unerringly hit your target. Sameal, by the way, is also the "angelic" name of Satan.
2. What change was made to the Paladin class in the Third Edition of "Dungeons and Dragons"?

Answer: Any lawful good character may now be a Paladin

In previous editions of the game, only lawful good Humans could be a member of the Paladin class. Now, any lawful good character may become a Paladin.
3. What game company put out the CCG "Illuminati: New World Order"?

Answer: Steve Jackson Games

SJG also put out the original Board/Role-playing Game "Illuminati".
4. Who was the first mortal to fill the position of Magister in the "Forgotten Realms"?

Answer: Azuth

Azuth, Lord of Spells was indeed the first Magister. He trapped the god Savras in his staff and then later, under the guidance of Mystra ascended to divinity himself. He now serves as the god of spells and human wizards.
5. Keeping with the Magister theme, what is the most number of times the office of Magister has changed hands in a single day?

Answer: 14

On the infamous Night of 14 Magisters. After that night, Mystra decided that all future Magisters would gain special magical and physical immunities. (Including complete immunity from all spells and physical attacks for a short period of time directly after ascending to the office.)
6. In "Changeling: the Dreaming", what is the highest Title a player character can begin the game with?

Answer: Duke/Duchess

The background Title can allow you to become up to a Duke/Duchess, which is one step below a King and two steps below High King David.
7. What company released the original "Lord of the Rings" CCG (Collectible Card Game)?

Answer: ICE

Iron Crown Enterprises was named for the crown that Melkor (Morgoth) bound the Silmarils into and always wore on after he proclaimed himself Lord of the Fates of Arda.
8. According to the revised Laws of the Hunt (from Mind's Eye Theatre) what is the maximum number of Attribute Traits a human being can have?

Answer: 12

A "normal" human can have up to 12 Traits in any category now. This is up from 10 in previous books. For those of you keeping track, that means that you must be a 10th Generation Vampire or at least a Rank Two Garou to match traits with an average human. For anyone who answered 13, that's the number of a traits that a partially awakend (i.e. Ghoul, Kinfolk, etc.) person can have.
9. Which of the following is not a Prestige Class from the Third Edition of "Dungeons and Dragons"?

Answer: Divine Consort

The Purple Dragon Knight and Archmage are classes listed in the "Forgotten Realms" campaign setting book. Arcane Archer is an Elf-only prestige class. Although Divine Disciples, Defenders, Crusaders, etc., exist, there is, as yet, no such class as the Divine Consort.
10. A Ranger in medium armor can fight as if he had the Ambidexterity and Two Weapon Fighting feats?

Answer: False

A tricky question, I know. A Ranger can fight as if he had those feats if he is wearing light or no armor. Medium and heavy armor restricts motion too much.
