Answer: Tonka

Tonka adopted the GoBots designs from the Machine Robo series by Bandai in Japan. The original GoBots were small (only about three inches in height) die-cast metal toys. The GoBots were released in 1983, a year before the Transformers toy franchise debuted. Despite being released first, the GoBots did not compete well with the Transformers and were discontinued after 1987.

Answer: F-15 Eagle

Leader-1 was the commander of the Guardian GoBots. He transformed into a grey F-15 Eagle. In addition to his original toy design, Leader-1 was released as one of the larger Super GoBot toys. Leader-1 received a repainted figure later in the series, which was colored blue and white.

Answer: His Engine

Cy-Kill was the leader of the Renegade GoBots. A Cy-Kill toy is very tough to find complete nowadays since his toy had a few removable parts that were easily lost. The engine needed to be removed while in robot mode and both his front and rear wheels of his motorcycle mode were detached and repositioned onto his shoulders.

Answer: Puzzler

The Renegade GoBot combiner, Puzzler, was made up six separate figures. Their names were Tic Tac (a red Corvette), Jig Saw (a white police car), Crossword (an orange Porsche), Pocket (a yellow Lamborghini), Rube (a black Mercedes) and Zig Zag (a blue Nissan 300ZX).

Answer: Pick-Up

Many of the GoBots names were simply taken from the type of vehicle they became. Scooter was a red scooter, Tank was a blue tank and Dozer was a yellow bulldozer. Pick-Up was not the name for a GoBot, however there was a red pick-up truck who was named Small Foot.

Answer: Spoons

Spoons was the name of an orange-colored Renegade GoBot whose vehicle mode was a forklift. The forks flipped up to become part of his legs and he had a small driver's seat open up while in his vehicle mode. He displayed the number 34 on his body, which came from the fact that he was Machine Robo model #34 in Japan.

Answer: Cop-Tur

There were many names for the GoBots that were not the most original of ideas. The blue and white helicopter was named Cop-Tur. A black locomotive GoBot was named Loco and a white ambulance GoBot was named Rest-Q. There was also a space shuttle GoBot named Spay-C.

Answer: Wendy's

In 1985, Wendy's released six exclusive GoBots toys with their children's meals. They were Pow Wow (a blue and red SUV), Odd Ball (a purple alien jet), Breez (a twin-rotor helicopter), Sky Flyer (a sleek blue jet), Guide Star (a space shuttle) and Beamer (a red and black sports car).

Answer: Psycho

Psycho was a Super GoBot whose alternate mode was a futuristic sports car. Psycho, Zeemon, Herr Fiend and Bug Bite all shared a similar robot design, with the car's cockpit section becoming a huge transparent head. Zeemon became a red Nissan 300ZX, Herr Fiend became a black Porsche 928 and Bug Bite became a yellow Volkswagen Beetle.

Answer: Rock Lords

The Rock Lords were a toy series that was released by Tonka in 1986. They were simply rocks and stones that transformed into robots. They were featured in the Gobots' movie "GoBots: Battle of the Rock Lords". Some of the more notable ones include Boulder (a grey rock), Nuggit (a piece of gold) and Magmar (a brown volcanic rock).
