The Brite Crawler worm, manufactured by the Trolli Company, is the #1 gummy worm sold in the U.S. The Trolli Company made its first gummy worm in 1981, but they weren't actually produced in the U.S. until 1986. Similar to Haribo's gummy bears, they were imported from their company in Germany. Trolli decided to increase production globally by opening their 1st U.S. factory in Iowa in the 1980s.
