Answer: Hotel Gasthof Löwen (Liechtenstein)

"Travel and Leisure" found this restaurant to be the eighth-oldest on the list. The Hotel Gasthof Löwen, located in Liechtenstein, is known for serving its patrons veal with vegetables. It has been operating since 1380.
4. Steak and roasted mushrooms

Answer: Sheep Heid Inn (Scotland)

Coming in at seventh oldest, the Sheep Heid Inn in Scotland is only a little older than the eighth-oldest on the list. It is known for serving steak and roasted mushrooms, and has been operating since 1360.
5. Duck, roasts, and escargot

Answer: La Couronne (France)

As one might expect, this restaurant in France is known for serving all of these items of French cuisine. It must be good, since it has been pleasing customers since 1345. It is the sixth oldest restaurant on the list.
6. Bangers and mash

Answer: The Brazen Head (Ireland)

This is the fifth oldest restaurant on the list. It is hard to imagine, but patrons have been enjoying the food there since 1198. It is most well-known for its bangers and mash.
7. Buckets of chicken

Answer: Ma Yu Ching's (China)

This is the fourth oldest restaurant according to "Travel and Leisure's" list. They first served buckets of chicken in 1153. And Colonel Sanders thought he originated the bucket of chicken idea!
8. Pies with chips and peas

Answer: The Old House (Wales)

Coming in at third-oldest restaurant on the list, "Travel and Leisure" identified The Old House in Wales. It opened in 1147 when it began feeding its customers its famous pies with chips and peas.
9. Sausages and sauerkraut

Answer: Wurstkuchl (Germany)

This is the second-oldest restaurant on the list. It opened in 1146 when it began cooking up its famous sausages and sauerkraut that were still enjoyed at the start of the 21st century.
10. Tafelspitz

Answer: St. Peter Stiftskulinarium (Austria)

When "Travel and Leisure" released their list of the world's oldest restaurants in 2020, St. Peter Stiftskulinarium in Austria was the oldest restaurant still operating in the world. It opened in the year 803 and developed a reputation for serving tafelspitz (boiled beef with minced apple and horseradish).

This old restaurant served two entertainment greats - Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Clint Eastwood. That's quite a time span!
