Answer: Yew

The Hampton Court Maze began in 1690 as a form of courtly entertainment for William of Orange. The Yew tree itself has a strong history in English culture as the wood used in the construction of the longbow. The longbow was a very successful weapon for English armies in Medieval times, most famously at the Battle of Agincourt in 1415.
5. Many ancient civilizations recognised the medicinal properties of this tree. The leaves and bark contain salicylic acid which is a natural remedy very similar to Aspirin. What is it's name ?
