Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In the US, what are most water bottles made of?

Answer: Plastic

Plastic is typically the chosen material used to make water bottles. Some water comes in different flavors, but whatever they are, it is usually made in plastic. There is paper on most water bottles, but it is just the label, not the entire water bottle itself.
2. What is recommended you do to empty water bottles?

Answer: Recycle them

Most water bottles will specifically say to recycle them. In the US, it shows a symbol at the bottom of the bottle of a triangle made of three turning arrows. This is the recycling symbol.
3. Which of these drink companies makes Lifewater?

Answer: SoBe

Lifewater is loaded with vitamins and minerals. In fact, one bottle will give you 250% daily value of vitamin c! This water has over 10 vital nutrients, most of which has at least 20% of the daily value. SoBe was first introduced in 1996, and became part of Pepsi products in 2000. SoBe is also known for their bottle caps, because they all have phrases on them.

There are over 200 phrases, including "Wasssssobe?," "Apocolizard Now," and, my favorite, "Sobe Wan Kenobi."
4. Which of these waters is made by Gatorade?

Answer: Propel

Propel is another fitness water with a lot of flavor. It keeps you hydrated, and it tastes good. These bottles are usually blue and thick, with a twist cap like many Gatorades. Propel was introduced in 2000 by Gatorade to specifically compete with the water market.

The goal of Gatorade was to introduce a new type of Gatorade that didn't have a lot of sugar or carbohydrates, thus expanding their market. Many athletes didn't like all the sugar Gatorade contained, and thus Propel was put on the market.
5. Which of these waters comes from the Yaqara Valley?

Remember, tea is mostly water!
9. What is the most common bottlecap color for Aquafina in the US?
