Answer: Hairspray

"Hairspray" tells the story of Tracy Turnblad who wins the role of a dancer on the popular Corny Collins Show. The show has a "Negro Day" once a month, which Motormouth Maybelle presents. It is set in the 1960s when segregation was commonplace. Tracy befriends the black dancers and Motormouth and they both fight for equality.
