This was written by Lynn Riggs. "Away We Go" was the original title of "Oklahoma!" but it was changed by the huge sucess of the title song.
2. How many shows, if any, had Rodgers and Hammerstein done before this?

This was the first collaberation of Rodgers and Hammerstein. Later, they went on to do other shows like "The Sound of Music" and "South Pacific".

He was wonderful, I must say. He even did the dream ballet himself. Great singing and acting as well, but that is my opinion.
