1. Who was the goddess of the sea?

Answer: Amphitrite

Amphitrite was the goddess of the sea. Her name means "the third one who encircles (everything)". The Greeks believed that the whole world was encircled by the river god Oceanus.
2. Who was born from her father's skull?

Answer: Athena

Athena was the daughter of Zeus and Metis. Athena's mother turned into a fly and was swallowed by Zeus. Instead of labour pains, Zeus encountered head pains, and as a result out popped Athena, fully grown.
3. Eros was the Greek god of love. By which method did he make people fall in love?

Answer: arrows

Eros had a two-stringed bow, which propelled golden arrows. One hit from the arrows, their targets were smitten.
4. Which of the following animals pulled the chariot of Dionysus?

Answer: tigers

Dionysus was known as the god of wine, his chariot was mainly pulled by tigers, although panthers or leopards were also used on occasions. His Roman counterpart was Bacchus.
5. Hestia was the goddess of the hearth. Who were her parents?

Answer: Cronos and Rhea

Cronus and Rhea were Hestia's parents, and Hestia was their firstborn. One of Hestia's siblings was Zeus. Cronus had an unhealthy habit of swallowing his children and as Hestia was the firstborn, she was first to be swallowed. It was Zeus who persuaded Cronus to regurgitate his sister.
6. Hebe was the daughter of Zeus and Hera, what was Hebe the goddess of?

Answer: youth

The Greek Goddess Hebe was the goddess of youth. Hebe was also the cup bearer to the gods, which meant at the gods' banquets it was her responsibility to pour ambrosia and nectar into their chalices.

Iris was the goddess of the rainbow. She was also a messenger and favourite hand maiden to Hera.

Persephone was the goddess of Spring. She had been kidnapped by Hades of the Underworld. After eating six pomegranate seeds, which were forbidden, Persephone had thus sealed her fate of living six months underground and six months above ground.

Answer: Olympus

The gods and goddesses all shared an enormous palace, high above the clouds. Mount Olympus is generally identified with Mount Olympus in Thessaly, which is the highest mountain in Greece. Here they all sat on their bejeweled thrones, partaking in ambrosia and nectar, whiling away the days.
