1. Sexy
Answer: Mean Girls
The musical "Mean Girls" is based on the movie of the same name about an awkward high school student navigating student life. The musical, written by Jeff Richmond, Neil Benjamin and Tina Fey, opened in Washington D.C. in October 2017 and made its Broadway debut in April 2018.
It was nominated for several awards, including a number of Tony Awards, Helen Hayes Awards and Drama Desk Awards. The song "Sexy" is hilarious. It's sung by the dumb, blonde and beautiful character Karen as she tries to decide which sexy Halloween costume to wear.
2. She Used to be Mine
Answer: Waitress
The musical "Waitress" is a play about a waitress in an abusive relationship who finds herself pregnant. She is an excellent baker and enters a pie baking competition as a way to help her out of her bad relationship. The music is written by Sara Bareilles and the musical was based on a 2007 film of the same name.
This play debuted on Broadway the same year as "Hamilton". Although it was nominated for several Tony Awards and is an incredible play, it lost out to and was overshadowed by "Hamilton".
The song "She Used to be Mine" is a song sung by the main character as she grapples with the woman she used to be, the fact that she is pregnant, and the situation she is currently in. It is a beautiful and emotional number.
3. Omigod You Guys
Answer: Legally Blonde
"Legally Blonde" is another musical based on a movie of the same name. The movie was released in 2001 and the musical in 2007. It debuted on Broadway in April 2007 and spawned a reality TV show in 2008 based around finding the next lead character, Elle Woods.

Elle, just like in the movie, follows her ex-boyfriend to Harvard Law School in the hopes of winning him back and proving how serious she is and becomes an empowered, confident young woman in the process.
4. Hello
Answer: Book of Mormon
The song "Hello" opens my favorite musical, "Book of Mormon", which was written by "South Park" creators Trey Stone and Matt Parker. It is rude, crude, inappropriate, politically incorrect, heartwarming and hilarious. Two elders of the Mormon church are sent to Uganda on a mission to teach people about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
The play won many, many awards, including several Tonys, a Grammy Award and several Laurence Olivier Awards. The song "Hello" introduces us to the elders, including one of the incompetent missionaries who doesn't quite stick to the script.
5. Me and the Sky
Answer: Come From Away
"Come From Away" is based on the heartwarming true story of how flights were diverted to Newfoundland, Canada during the 9/11 terrorist attacks. The town of Gander, Newfoundland was inundated with thousands of passengers from all over the world who were stranded there when air travel was suspended.
This musical tells the story of how the inhabitants of Gander opened their hearts and homes to these stranded travelers. The song "Me and the Sky" is sung by a female pilot who sings about her challenges and accomplishments as one of the first female pilots to fly internationally.

It debuted on Broadway in 2005 and was nominated for fourteen Tony Awards, winning three. The original Broadway cast included some powerhouse actors, including Tim Curry, David Hyde Pierce, Hank Azaria and Christian Borle.
Many actors play multiple roles and take on some female characters, too. An exception to this is the character the Lady of the Lake, who sings the song "Diva's Lament", a hilarious song by a diva about not getting enough stage time.
The song is also known as "What Ever Happened To My Part?"
9. I'm Breaking Down
Answer: Falsettos
"Falsettos" is a musical that is sung all the way through and tells the story of a husband and wife who are dealing with the fact that the husband leaves his wife for his male lover. 10. Getting Married Today
Answer: Company
"Company" is a 1970 musical by Stephen Sondheim and George Furth that pulls together a number of short vignettes that are linked together by a birthday celebration. The original production was nominated for several Tonys, winning six. The song "Getting Married Today" is sung by a bride-to-be on her wedding day who is having severe cold feet and hilariously and very manically sings about her wedding that she has no interest in seeing through.
In the background is an angel and the groom whose parts are sung in different tempos.
The combination of all three parts makes for a brilliant number.
