Gregory Maguire wrote "Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West" in 1996. It is a New York Times Bestseller and is one of the best books I've ever read.
2. Which cast members of "Wicked"'s original Broadway cast were in Disney movies?

Answer: Carole Shelley and Idina Menzel

Carole Shelley was part of the Disney films "Robin Hood" and "The Aristocats". She played Madame Morrible in the Original Broadway Cast.

Idina Menzel was in the 2007 movie "Enchanted" which starred Amy Adams. She played Elphie.
