Answer: Kindan

Kindan is the youngest child of Camp Natalon's watch-weyr handler. His mother died giving birth to him.

2. Who is the blind girl in the camp?

Answer: Nuella

Nuella is the daughter of Journeyman miner Natalon, who is also leader of the camp. Only a few people in the camp know about her, the rest don't even know she exists.

3. Does Kindan's brother save Kindan's friend?

Answer: Yes

Kindan's brother, Kayleck, is killed in a cave in along with Kindan's dad. But before Kayleck dies he pushes Zenor, Kindan's friend, to safety.

4. How does the old watch-weyr die?

Dask dies digging out the trapped miners. Sadly, he won't stop long enough for Kindan to bandage him up.
