Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Out of the Dusks, Noons and Dawns, which one has the highest precedence within the House?

Answer: Noon

It is the Noons because of two things. Firstly, the Noons are taller. Secondly, Arthur offers Monday's Dusk a new post as Dawn or Noon. Dusk turns down Dawn because Dawns are typically female but takes up his post as the new Monday's Noon. This must mean that Noon has a higher precedence than Dusk.
2. According to Suzy Turquoise Blue, what is the place of precedence of her antagonist who attacks her in the Front Door, whom the Lieutenant Keeper says is Superior Saturday's Dusk?

Answer: 13th

Superior Saturday's Dusk is 15th in precedence within the House. However, she says to Arthur that her assailant was Saturday's Noon who would be 13th in precedence because Saturday's Dawn would be 14th in precedence. We know that Dawns are ranked higher than Dusks because Arthur offers Monday's Dusk a post as Dawn who turns it down because Dawns are more typically girls. Arthur wouldn't have offered Dusk a place as Dawn if Dawn wasn't ranked higher. Also, being the weakest out of Monday's Noon, Dusk and Dawn would be a good motive for Dusk to help Arthur.
3. Lord Sunday's Dusk/Noon/Dawn is one place after Mister Monday.

Answer: False

The Lieutenant Keeper is as the Dusks, Noons, and Dawns of the Trustees were expected by the Architect to obey the Law of the Front Door. This means that the Lieutenant Keeper has a higher precedence than the highest Trustee's highest Denizen. However, we find out in "Grim Tuesday" that if a majority of the Morrow Days vote for a particular motion involving breaking the Laws of the Front Door, then is allowed by law for the pertaining individual(s) to break the Laws of the Front Door.

This means that the Lieutenant Keeper has a lower precedence than the Morrow Days.
4. What is Arthur's precedence within the House in the middle of "Mister Monday"?

Answer: Ninth

Since Arthur owns the Lesser Key, he is one place below Mister Monday since Mister Monday owns the Greater Key. Mister Monday is eighth in precedence within the House.
5. What is Feverfew's precedence within the House?

Answer: None of these

Feverfew, being a mortal, can't have a precedence within the House. The only reason Arthur gains a precedence within the House is he is Rightful Heir and he essentially replaces the Trustees.
6. Who is 15,287th in precedence within the House?

Answer: Heraclius Swell

Herclius Swell is the captain of the Mantis in "Drowned Wednesday". His ship is sent by Drowned Wednesday to pick up Arthur from the Secondary Realms.
7. In "Grim Tuesday" who is fifth in precedence amongst Grim Tuesday's Grotesques?

Answer: Sethera

Grim Tuesdays Grotesques, in order of precedence are: Yan, Tan, Methera, Tethera, Sethera, Azer and Pits. They are all killed simultaneously when Superior Saturday's Dusk stabs Yan.
8. Who is essentially a Denizen of the House but has no precedence?

Answer: The Old One

The Old One was chained to clock by the Architect because he violated the Original Law and interfered with the Secondary Realms. He now resides within the Coal Cellar and he also helps Arthur on his quest by granting him three questions. Arthur then finds out about the Improbable Stair.
9. How many people have changed had their rank of precedence changed directly (as in their rank was not changed because of some change higher up on the register of precedence)?

Answer: None of these

There are in fact 6: Arthur Penhaligon, who keeps going up places for each Trustee he defeats; Monday's Noon who swapped with Monday's Dusk and therefore went down two places; Monday's Dusk, who swapped with Monday's Noon and therefore went up two places; and Tuesday's Dusk, Noon and Dawn who essentially had their rank stripped from them before being reordered to form the seven Grotesques.
10. How many people have added names to the order of precedence?

Answer: Two

These are Arthur Penhaligon, whose addition to the register, will have eventually moved everyone, save the Architect, down one place. There is also Grim Tuesday who merged his Dawn, Noon, and Dusk together and split them into the seven Grotesques. The Grim essentially took away three names and added seven, the same as adding four names.
