The Clayr are described as blond, tan, and blue or green eyed. They also have a talent called the Sight, which allows them to see into the future. Lirael is none of these things and wonders why until the age of 19. Until then, she contemplates suicide twice, as she does not fit in.

Lirael starts at the bottom as a 3rd Assistant Librarian with a yellow waistcoat, and graduates to 2nd Assistant Librarian later. With the position, she gains a red waistcoat, a big book of Charter spells, larger quarters, and more access to different parts of the Library.

She already had awoken the access spells because of curiosity, and stresses about putting them back to sleep. The Disreputable Dog does it for her, putting her to sleep in the process.

We find this out at the end of Abhorsen when he takes the position of Kibeth in the Seven to bind Orannis. Lirael ends up in the position of Astarael the Sorrowful. She also almost gets killed binding Orannis, but the Dog bites off her hand. Sameth later makes her a new magical one to fill the place.

Saraneth is the favorite bell of Abhorsens. It makes Dead or Free Magic creatures do their will.

Mogget's real name is Yrael. He defied the Charter in the beginning, but was bound. He is usually found in the form of an albino or a white cat. In the second binding of Orannis, he joins the Seven. Without him, they probably would have failed and destruction ensued.

The Clayr's symbol is the golden star with 7 points. The Wallmaker's symbol is a trowel, and the Abhorsen's symbol is a silver key. We find this when sendings in Abhorsen's House give Lirael and Sameth their decorated surcoats. Those sendings don't make mistakes, no matter how senile Mogget finds them.

Free Magic has a "tangy, corrosive" smell. When speaking a Free Magic spell, it feels like you are spitting out molten metal. Charter Magic is the opposite: comforting, warm, and golden. The other two are made up.

Answer: Nehima

Nehima is a Clayr heirloom given to Lirael by Sanar and Ryelle. It was made by the Wallmakers and is Charter-spelled for greater protection against the Dead and Free Magic constructs or necromancers. Lirael is not a great swordswoman, because she skipped classes to be away from other Clayr.

She also avoids talking because their conversation always turns to the Sight, which she does not have and never will.

Ellimere seems to be the perfect ruler: responsible, kind, and popular with her subjects and friends. Sameth is the royal Prince, but does not wish to be King or Abhorsen. He ends up finding out that he is a Wallmaker, gifted with the power to make things and be an excellent and powerful Charter Mage. Touchstone is the current King, freed by Sabriel from his imprisonment in a boat figurehead. Kirrith is Lirael's overprotective obnoxious Aunt.

Nicholas Sayre originated in Ancelstierre, and did not believe in magic till the end of Abhorsen. He is described as handsome, and almost gets killed when the shard of Orannis enters his heart. When the hemispheres are joined, the shard of metal had worked itself out enough not to puncture a hole through his heart, causing death. We can't have someone Lirael likes (loves?) getting killed, can we?
