"The Murder At The Vicarage" introduces us to Miss Marple. It was first published in 1930. The local Colonel of Saint Mary Mead has been found murdered in the Vicar's study and Miss Marple investigates and solves the case before the local Inspector, Inspector Slack.

But his son-in-law and his daughter-in-law are close to him. Adelaide has a son from her first marriage.

This book was first published in 1942. In "The Moving Finger" there is a spate of poison pen letters in the village of Lymstock. Miss Marple comes to stay with Maud Dane Calthrop and her husband. Griselda was the Vicar's wife in "The Murder At The Vicarage", while "Bunch"(real name Diana) Harmon appears in "A Murder Is Announced".

Miss Marple comes to stay with "Bunch" Harmon and her husband, the Reverend of Chipping Cleghorn.
