1. What is the name of Sloan's wife?

Answer: Ismira

Sloan's wife was killed when she went over the Igualda falls. Because of this, Sloan refuses to accept Saphira's egg, which was found in the Spine, as payment for meat.
2. Which river flows through the Spine and Palancar Valley?

Answer: Anora

It makes a sort of "U" shape through the Palancar Valley.
3. Which province was Galbatorix born into?

Answer: Inzilbeth

The province of Inzilbeth no longer exists. Oh well, it can't be that nice of a place anyway. After all, Galbatorix was born there.
4. Who saved Brom from paying Gareth in order to know where Jeod's house was?

Answer: Martin

Gareth, the owner of The Green Chestnut, was going to charge Brom a lot of money for the information. Martin was missing two fingers and was a merchant guard.
5. Who was the succesor of Vanilor?

Answer: Eridor

Vanilor and Eridor were both names Eragon suggested to Saphira. She refused all of his choices because they were male names and she was female.
6. True or False: Eragon fenced with Fredrick to test his prowess in arms?

Answer: False

Eragon was supposed to fence with Fredrick, but ended up fencing with Arya instead. He passed her test.
7. Where did Brom and Eragon stay on the way to Dras-Leona?

Answer: Fasaloft

Fasaloft is a "bustling lakeside village". Eragon and Brom stayed there after being attacked by the Urgals. Erragon was reassured by the fact that there was no gossip about him and Saphira in the common room of the hostel where they stayed.
8. Which place has a name meaning "our father"

Answer: Farthen Dur

Farthen Dur is a great hollow mountain. It's name is in the dwarf tongue and is apropriate because in the dwarf's own speech "Dwarf" is Knurla, which also is literally "one of stone". Ithro Zhada is another name for Orthiad and it means "rebel doom". Tronjheim is the city inside Farthen-dur and its name means "helm of the giants". "Baen" means "sorrow".
9. What are the names of Arya's guards?

Answer: Faolin and Glenwing

Both were slain by Urgals on the way to Osilon with Arya, but she was captured and tortured. Arya is very sad about it.
10. Which town near the Ramr river did Eragon and Murtagh have to go around?

Answer: Bullridge

The Empire had soliers and wanted posters out about Eragon so it wasn't safe in Bullridge.
11. Who was Ajihad's predecessor?

Answer: Deynor

Deynor let the Twins join the Varden because of the strength of their battle magic. The Twins are cunning and slimy, seeking power above all else.
12. Which of these is not a city?

Answer: Ardwen

Ardwen is a lake in Du Weldenvarden. The town of Silthrimis on its eastern edge. Nadinel is an elf city, Galfni is a city in the Beor Mountains and Furnost is in the Empire by Lake Tudosten.
13. The Urgals who were to attack Osilon were under the command of these beings, in order of rank: Gashz, Torak, Durza, Galbatorix.

Answer: False

Actually it was "under Torak under Gashz under Durza under Ushnark the Mighty". Ushnark means "father" in the Urgal tongue, and it's what they call Galbatorix.
14. The elves come from this place.

Answer: Alalea

Brom tells Eragon this when he asks about the elves. Only the elves know where or what Alalea is exept that it is across the sea.
15. How many coastal cities does Alagaesia have, and what are their names? (please try without your book...)

Answer: 5 - Narda, Teirm, Kuasta, Feinster, Aroughs

Not all are mentioned in the book, but all are on the map. Also Ossiriand is a country in "The Silmarillion"; if you have read it, it would have been a dead giveaway.
16. Whose poems was Eragon reading in Tronjheim?

Answer: Dondar

He was in the library, reading, when the Twins invited him to join Du Vrangr Gata, or The Wandering Path.
17. Moe's Tavern was a popular eating and drinking establishment in Carvahall.

Answer: False

It's Morn's Tavern, not Moe's. There are mounted Urgal horns in the tavern. This is the place Eragon first planned to steal food from, but then he decided to steal from Sloan.
18. Saphira's hut was in this type of tree.

Answer: Rowan

Solembum tells him to do this in Teirm at Angela's shop.
19. What color was Dempton's hair?

Answer: red

Roran was hired by Dempton to work at his mill.
20. Feinstar was never actually mentioned in the book.

Answer: False

Albreich was going away to Feinstar, so Horst offered to let Eragon wark in his place.
