They skip the holiday is because their daughter, Blair, won't be home. She is going to Peru to help the children, and won't be back for a year.

They are planning on going on a cruise. Luther, one of the main characters, goes to a travel agency and gets this cruise deal, and when he returns home that night from work, he springs the idea off of his wife, Nora. Both of them start going on a diet, and go to a tanning bed to be in shape for the trip.

3. Do Luther and Nora end up going on the trip?

Unfortunatly, Luther and Nora don't get to go. Blair calls and says that she is coming home with Enrique, this guy she met down in Peru, and then Nora and Luther have to run around like crazy to get ready for Blair and Enrique. Luther and Nora have a Christmas party at their house every year, so there is no time like last minute to get ready for this major holiday blowout.

He ends up slipping on a patch of ice, and falling off the roof. He ends up being okay.

He talked one of the neighborhood kids into helping him tree lift. The Trogdens go away on a skiing trip every Christmas anyway, so he knew their tree would be perfect.

The name of the tanning salon was Tans Forever. You read the name of it when Luther went in to sign up for a tanning package. He had signed both him and Nora up for one so they would look good in time for the trip that they learned later on wouldn't be happening.

He ended up giving the trip to Walt and Bev Scheel. He thought they might like to have it and when he went to give it to them, they kept saying that they couldn't take it, but of course Luther insisted.
