Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In "Iron Fist", the second novel in the "Wraith Squadron" trilogy, who was brought in as the new slicer (hacker / computer systems expert) for the squadron?

Answer: Castin Donn

Castin Donn was a very talanted slicer, and often took initiative (sometimes against orders). He was made Wraith Two so he could be Wedge's wing man. Castin was proud that he got to fly beside the famous Wedge Antilles, not realising that Wedge liked to make the more troublesome members his wing men so he could keep a closer eye on them.
2. The Imperial officer Gara Petothel was responsible for a lot of damage to the New Republic, and managed to escape the final confrontation in "Wraith Squadron". In "Iron Fist", she changed her identity and joined the Wraiths under which new name?

Answer: Lara Notsil

Gara Petothel originally just wanted to go into hiding, but Face and Ton Phanan wanted her help bringing down a corrupt officer in the New Republic. After that success, she was offered a spot in Wedge Antilles' new squadron. Realising how much damage she could do to the New Republic military from the inside, she readily accepted.
3. In "Iron Fist", who did the Wraiths bring in to be the new dedicated hand-to-hand combat specialist, who happened to be the sibling of Kell Tainer's former teacher?

Answer: Shalla Nelprin

Kell Tainer was the squadron's original hand-to-hand combat specialist (as well as mechanic and demolitions expert). He happily stepped down when he met Shalla, remembering the beatings he had received when training with her sister.

Shalla proved her skills many times, including once when she met some Imperials while posing as a Hawk Bat mercenary. The Imperial specialist offered his hand, but Shalla saw his bluff, and broke his nose for it.
4. After Falynn Sandskimmer died in "Wraith Squadron", they needed a new vehicle specialist. Which former slave was brought in to fill that role?

Answer: Dia Passik

Dia Passik was a Twi'lek and former slave. She became familiar with the vehicles of her owners, and used her knowledge to hijack a yacht and escape. Her unique background and skill set made Dia an excellent addition to the squadron.
5. In "Iron Fist", while the Wraiths were posing as the Hawkbat pirate gang, they pretended to have an Ewok in the squadron. What was the name of this fake pilot?

Answer: Kettch

When first putting together the squad, Wes was joking about all the different unusual candidates they had. Wedge thought Wes was joking about the Gamorrean, but then in walked Piggy. When Wes joked about an Ewok, Wedge wasn't sure whether to believe his lieutenant.

In "Iron Fist", the idea of Lieutenant Kettch was born. He was a genetically modified and crazy Ewok pilot with arm and leg extensions to reach the controls of a TIE Interceptor. It was actually Wedge in a black outfit, and a stuffed Ewok doll in front of him to sell the illusion.

Wicket was the main Ewok from "Return of the Jedi", and Simon the Killer Ewok was a joke character in the video game "Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds".
6. In "Iron Fist", Castin Donn got into trouble with the Imperials, and nearly blew the cover of the Wraiths posing as the Hawkbat pirates. Who of the Hawkbats proved their loyalty by shooting Castin?

Answer: Dia Passik

Castin was a talented hacker, and wanted to use a program he'd written to hack into the Imperial network. Wedge liked the idea, and told him to develop it, but that he was not ready to act on it just yet. Castin disagreed, and secretly snuck aboard the Iron Fist, where he was caught by some stormtroopers.

Zsinj had Castin's limp body brought to the Wraiths on his ship, who were posing as mercenaries, and asked them to execute Castin to show their loyalty. Kell and Face were both stunned, but Dia was able to shoot Castin. She told herself that he was already dead when he'd been brought to them, but still had an emotional breakdown during the shuttle ride home.
7. Sadly, in "Iron Fist", the squadron's medic died. Who was added to the squadron in "Solo Command" to fill the medic role?

Answer: Elassar Targon

Elassar Targon was unique among the Wraiths in that his record did not have any major blemishes preventing him from joining other squadrons. His squadmates often gave him a hard time for having such a clean record. Elassar was also more superstitious than the rest of the Wraiths.
8. In "Solo Command", Wedge took on the dual role of Wraith Leader and Rogue Leader, but his call sign reverted back to Rogue One. Who was promoted and given the call sign Wraith One?

Answer: Garik "Face" Loran

Face got a brevet promotion to Captain, and was made Wraith One, but Wedge still commanded the squadron as Wraith Leader. Face turned out to be an excellent leader for the squadron, and continued in that capacity well after the events in the "Wraith Squadron" trilogy.
9. In "Solo Command", Wraith One discovered Gara Petothel's true identity. While they were already flying, she was confronted over the radio, accidentally on an open frequency. Which Wraith tried to kill Gara once she was outed?

Answer: Myn Donos

In "Wraith Squadron", Gara Petothel was responsible for luring Myn's old squadron into a trap, of which he was the only survivor. Face, who was good at reading body language, picked up that Gara was not really who she said she was, and discovered her identity.

When Myn heard that the woman responsible for the deaths of eleven of his friends was actually his new squadmate, he lost impulse control and attacked her. Face had to place his X-wing between Myn and Gara to stop the attack.
10. In "Solo Command", who infiltrated Warlord Zsinj's forces as a double agent for the New Republic?

Answer: Lara Notsil

Lara had originally planned to betray the New Republic to help Zsinj, but as she spent time with the Wraiths, she came to sympathize with the New Republic, and became simultaneously repulsed by Zsinj.

After Myn Donos attacked her, she fled to Zsinj, as she had originally planned, but with new motives to betray him. She disabled the Iron Fist, transmitted its location to the New Republic, and released all the non-human test subjects that Zsinj was performing brutal experiments on.

She faked her own death so the New Republic would not have a reason to look for her, but left enough clues for the people important to her to find her.
