1. What was Carrie's surname in the book of the same name?

Answer: White

'Carrie' was Stephen King's first published novel. It contains fictitious local newspaper stories in addition to the story itself.
2. In 'The Eyes of the Dragon' what is the name of the place where Peter is imprisoned?

Answer: The Needle

Peter was sent to live in the The Needle after he was found guilty of killing his father, King Roland. The name of the magician in this story is Flagg who can be found in other stories and prominently in the 'Dark Tower' series.
3. Which young girl with a paranormal power features in 'Firestarter'?

Answer: Charlie McGee

Both of Charlie's parents were experimented on by The Shop years before she was born. Charlie is born with the power to start fires; she calls it the 'bad thing'. Charlie was played by Drew Barrymore in the 1984 film.
Ellie is from 'Pet Semetary', Pie is from 'Desperation' and Alice is from 'Cell'.
4. Which sport features in the short story 'Blockade Billy'?

Answer: Baseball

'Billy' joins the New Jersey Titans as a last minute replacement, but he's not all he seems. Narrated by the former equipment manager to Stephen King, the whole tale of the beginning of the Titan's 1957 season is told. There are facts the history books are unlikely to tell you.

She uses some of the money to take her son Brett to visit her family in Connecticut. This means that they aren't around when things start to rapidly go downhill.

'Christine' was first published in 1983 with a film being made in the same year. The story revolves around Arnie Cunningham and a car he falls in love with at first sight. It causes friction between him and his parents and things don't get any better when Christine becomes jealous of his girlfriend.
7. In 'Cell', Clay strikes out on his own to go to Kashwak. He sees two phoners fighting over what?

Answer: A fire truck

Set in today's technological world, 'Cell' delves into how a society would cope with no communication other than face to face. The scene mentioned is the first time Clay hears the phoners talking to each other in recognisable words. Trying to say 'My truck', the phoner manages 'My Nuk!' Previously to this they had only made vocalisations but not actual words.
8. In 'Gerald's Game' what is the former name of the stray dog?

Answer: Prince

Prince has been abandoned at the end of the summer as the guy who bought him didn't want to pay the fee to take him home. While Jessie is in her precarious position, Prince comes sniffing round looking for food. 'Gerald's Game' tells Jessie's whole story about a fun afternoon game that went very wrong, very quickly.
9. Which of these is not a short story or novella collection?

Answer: 1408

'Nightmares and Dreamscapes' was released in 1993, 'Skeleton Crew' in 1985 and 'Full Dark, No Stars' in 2010. '1408' is a story from the 2002 collection called 'Everything's Eventual'. '1408' was also made into a film in 2007 and he uses the story in 'On Writing' to help illustrate how to edit.
10. In 'The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon', what team does Tom Gordon play for?

Answer: Boston Red Sox

Tom Gordon is the closer for the Red Sox. Trisha gets lost in the woods and this book tells how she survived not only the perils of the wood but the additional danger of being followed by 'the God of the Lost'. Listening to the evening Red Sox games is one of the things that help Trisha get through her time in the woods.
