Answer: Dwarf

Whilst Carrot is a human, he has been brought up to be just like a Dwarf. He can understand and talk to them and know their way of living.

Answer: Because he had to talk to Vimes, who didn't come out of the bar

Vimes didn't come out of the pub, so he ventured inside. This is because well... Vimes loves his drink!

Answer: Vetinari

(Lord) Havelock Vetinari is the patrician of Ankh Morpork. He has played an important role throught the series, usually surviving assassination attempts and helping out characters such as Vimes and Rincewind. Along with Cohen, Rincwind, and Carrot, he is the main character of the Discworld Fable, "The Last Hero".

Yes, he does. The mon- I mean ape gives Sam Vimes a nice big smile. His main objective in the book is to find the stolen book from the library.
