Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which of the Bridgerton sisters asked Simon Basset to wait for her?

Answer: Hyacinth

In "The Duke and I," when the Bridgertons go on a family picnic accompanied by Simon, the youngest daughter, Hyacinth, age 10, declares that Simon has her permission to marry Daphne. But if he chooses not to marry Daphne, would he please wait for Hyacinth instead?
2. Which of the Bridgerton children followed his/her parents' method of naming their children (ie. A, B, C...)?

Answer: Daphne

At the end of "The Duke and I," Daphne and Simon are astonished that Lady Whistledown was able to discover the name of their newborn son, although they had not yet announced it. They named him David, following their three daughters Amelia, Belinda, and Caroline.
3. Who did Colin Bridgerton initially suspect as being the true Lady Whistledown?

Answer: his sister, Eloise

While we eventually discover in "Romacing Mr. Bridgerton" that it is Penelope Featherington who is the true Lady Whistledown, Colin is originally convinced that it is Eloise who writes the popular column. She has inkstains all over her fingers--evidence of her copious amounts of writing. Those fans of "To Sir Phillip, With Love" know what she was writing instead.
4. Who was it that finally convinced Benedict Bridgerton to marry Sophie, once he knew of her true identity?

Answer: Colin

In "An Offer from a Gentleman," there is a wonderful fencing scene between Benedict and Colin. It is then that Colin says to his brother, "Why don't you do us all a favor and marry the girl?" It is he who convinces Benedict that his and Sophie's past and all their differences do not matter.
5. 3 members of the Bridgerton family got married in 1824. Which of the following siblings was not among them?

Answer: Benedict

As we have seen thus far in the series, three members of the Bridgerton family were married that year--Colin, Eloise, and Francesca (remarried). Benedict married Sophie several years earlier.
6. What was the game that the Bridgertons often played, displaying some very competitive behavior and rather unsportsmanlike conduct?

Answer: Pall Mall

In "The Viscount Who Loved Me," the elder Bridgerton siblings play this game at the party held at Aubrey Hall. Kate Sheffield joins the play and begins to banter and argue with Anthony, especially concerning a certain pink mallet and ball.
7. Which of the Bridgerton siblings are especially close? Their close relationship is witnessed and is quite important at least twice in the series, so this is fair.

Answer: Colin and Daphne

It is mentioned in both "The Duke and I" and "Romancing Mr. Bridgerton" of the closeness of Colin and Daphne. They are the closest in age of all the Bridgerton children and always shared a bond. Colin was the only one of her older brothers who remained calm and agreed to help Daphne when Anthony challenged Simon to a duel. Also, when Colin is unsure of his feelings for Penelope, he goes to Daphne to ask her how she knew she was in love.
8. Francesca Bridgerton disappears after "An Offer from a Gentleman." What next happened to her?

Answer: she marries

In "Romancing Mr. Bridgerton," we find out that Francesca married John Stirling, the Earl of Kilmartin and moved to Scotland. Unfortunately, he dies only two years later.
9. How old was Edmund Bridgerton when he died?

Answer: 38

Sadly, Edmund Bridgerton died of an allergy to a bee sting when he was only 38. This detail was critical to the storyline of "The Viscount Who Loved Me" for Anthony never thought he could surpass anything his father did, including living longer.
10. What did the family eventually name the house where Violet Bridgerton lived?

Answer: Number Five

Violet moved out of Bridgerton House shortly after the masquerade in "An Offer from a Gentleman." After several attempts to give the house a dignified name, the family gave up and resorted to calling it simply Number Five due to its location of 5, Bruton Street in London.
