Reilly and Jack Nicholson starred in this movie about a passive young man who, through a series of unfortunate misunderstandings, finds himself forced to accept treatment for anger that he doesn't even know he feels. What he can't understand is why he's been labeled as being at risk, when his therapist seems to have a lot more issues on the subject than he has.

The fact that she really does love her daughter becomes very clear when the daughter becomes terminally ill with cancer. Nicholson plays the new next door neighbour, an aging astronaut who becomes the mother's love interest.
10. (1989) Shirley MacLaine starred with Julia Roberts in this tearjerker about a group of Southern women who congregate regularly at Truvy's Beauty Parlor to draw strength from their circle of friends. Roberts plays the physically fragile Shelby, whose wedding everyone is celebrating at the beginning of the movie, and whose death everyone is mourning at the end.
