Kevin Bacon plays a scientist who is working on a way to make living beings invisible, and ultimately tests this new preocedure on himself. He successfully becomes invisible, but his personality changes along with his appearance and he becomes paranoid and violent.
Loosely based on H.G. Wells' "The Invisible Man", "Hollow Man" is mainly noted for the perfect special effects and the less-than-perfect story and character depth. A sequel starring Christian Slater, "Hollow Man 2", went directly to DVD.

Answer: Flatliners

"Flatliners" is about a group of students who purposely bring themselves to the edge of death to be subsequently reanimated. The film explores near-death experiences and connects the scientific topic with the concept of crime and punishment. Julia Roberts also stars.

Answer: Phone Booth

Colin Farrell's character is a ruthless businessman whose life takes an unexpected turn when he answers a phone call in a public phone booth. He finds himself in conversation with a blackmailer who has him in the crosshairs of a sniper rifle.
Author Larry Cohen originally pitched the idea of a movie that takes place entirely in a phone booth to Alfred Hitchcock, but the two were unable to figure out a plot to allow for that fact. It was only thirty years later that the idea with a sniper occurred to him.
Larry Cohen also wrote "Cellular", a thriller starring Kim Basinger with a broken phone and a cell phone at the center of the story. That movie is known to German cinemagoers as "Final Call".

Answer: Daredevil

Colin Farrell played the villain to Ben Affleck's blind superhero. "Daredevil" is based on the Marvel comic books of the same name. It received mixed reviews but was a reasonable box office success and noted for its characters and actors.
Matt Murdock (Ben Affleck) is a lawyer who lost his vision in an accident, but whose other senses are abnormally heightened, enabling him to don a superhero costume and go looking for the murderers of his father.

Answer: 13 Going On 30

After a 13th birthday party that goes wrong, Jennifer Garner's character, Jenna, wishes she could be 30 at once. When her wish is granted, the problems only begin, of course. Jenna has to cope with her active, stressful business life and gradually finds out that she does not really like the person she has become.
Andy Serkis a.k.a. Gollum from the "Lord of the Rings" movies plays her boss at the magazine where she works.

Answer: The Return of the King

While Gollum, just like Faramir, appears in both "The Two Towers" and "The Return of the King" (and his huge eyes are briefly seen in "The Fellowship of the Ring"), only "The Return of the King" shows Andy Serkis in person, in the opening sequence with Sméagol (still in his non-monstrous form) and Déagol.
"The Return of the King" is the last film in the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy and depicts the last third of the perilous journey of the hobbits Frodo and Sam in their quest of destroying the Ring of Power.

Answer: "Australia" and "Van Helsing"

In "Van Helsing", David Wenham plays a friar who assists vampire hunter Van Helsing (played by Hugh Jackman).
In "Australia," the story of an English lady (Nicole Kidman) who has to come to terms with life on a farm during World War II; the two are adversaries, with Wenham's character the antagonist.

Answer: X-Men

Hugh Jackman memorably played Wolverine in a number of films. Anna Paquin was cast as Rogue, the torn mutant whose touch can kill. The onscreen chemistry between those two characters was strong in the first movie but was disregarded in the sequels, probably because Anna Paquin's character was younger than the original Rogue from the comic books (who is actually a love interest for Logan/Wolverine).
"X-Men" takes place in a world where mutants live among us but are ostracized by the society.

Answer: The Piano

"The Piano" was a hugely successful drama from 1993 that won a number of prizes, including Oscars for Holly Hunter and Anna Paquin, as well as the screenplay, and a Golden Palm in Cannes. It tells the story of a mute woman, Ada (Holly Hunter), who travels with her daughter (Paquin) to New Zealand to get married to a man she has never met before.

But her new husband shows no understanding for the fact that she needs her piano, which she has taken with her, to express herself. The piano ends up with a neighbor who falls in love with Ada and strikes up a deal with her - for every time that she visits him, she can win back another piece of her piano, key by key. Anna Paquin, who resurfaced later on the screen as Rogue in "X-Men" and on TV screens as Sookie Stackhouse in HBO's "True Blood", was the second youngest person ever to win an Oscar (after Tatum O'Neil).

Answer: Sister Act

Las Vegas showgirl Deloris (Whoopi Goldberg) has an affair with a local underworld boss. When she witnesses a murder for which he is responsible, she has to go into witness protection in a Catholic convent (without being in the least suited to living the life of a nun). However, she soon manages to stir up matters at the convent when she takes over the choir - to great success.
Maggie Smith makes a memorable Mother Superior who (fortunately, as it turns out) tries in vain to restrict the antics of Whoopi Goldberg's character.
"Sister Act" spawned a sequel, "Sister Act 2," co-starring a back then relatively unknown Lauryn Hill. There is also a musical based on the film.
