The film surrounded the building of a railroad, hampered by man-eating lions. The film was reviewed as having no sense or suspense, yet the novelty of 3-D brought people back to the cinemas. It made millions in months.

It also starred Ray Milland, Robert Cummings and John Williams as Inspector Hubbard. The murder scenes were quite stunning in 3-D actually.
