"Highlander" begins with the knight in question, Connor MacLeod, meeting up with an enemy in a parking garage in New York City. A sword fight ensues, but the enemy is not killed. There, he was wounded by an immortal warrior and should have died, but he recovered because he was now immortal too. He was accused of witchcraft, and was exiled to the highlands.
