Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Finish the statement that was written on the Old Bailey building before V had it blown up: "Defend the children of the poor and punish the ____________."

Answer: wrongdoer

V blew up the Old Bailey as a symbol that people should not be afraid of their government, but that the government should be afraid of their people. An interesting thing about the writing was that the 'u' in punish was written as a 'v'.
2. How old was Evey when her parents were detained?

Answer: 12

Evey's parents became political activists after her brother died in an epidemic breakout at St. Mary's school. Because of their activism, they were detained and Evey was sent away.
3. How much time was left when Dascomb found the bomb in the Jordan Tower?

Answer: 3:29

Dascomb was also the one who dismantled the bomb. He was about to snip one cord off, when at the last second he snipped the other, and deactivated the bomb set by V.
4. What did V call his home?

Answer: The Shadow Gallery

Evey: "What is this place?"
V: "This is my home. I call it the shadow gallery."
Evey: "It's beautiful."

In the comic book, Finch discovered that the Shadow Gallery was in Victoria Station, which was part of the London Underground.
5. How did Evey know the news anchorwoman was lying about how Prothero died?

Answer: She blinked a lot.

Evey knew the woman was lying, and found out Prothero didn't die from heart failure, but that V had killed him.
6. Who lived at 6 Albery Street?

Answer: Gordon

Evey had a piece of paper with Gordon's address on it the first night she met V. Later at the Shadow Gallery, she looked at it again in hopes of escaping.
7. What type of flower did V leave with his victims after killing them?

Answer: Scarlet Carson

With the flowers, V was avenging Valerie's death. Valerie used to grow Scarlet Carsons with her girlfriend, until they were both killed because they were "different".
8. What was the name of the girl in the letter Evey found in the cell next to hers?

Answer: Valerie

Valerie wrote her autobiography on a piece of toilet paper while being kept at the Larkhill detention facility. V was in the cell next to hers, and kept the piece of toilet paper, which he passed down to Evey.
9. Finish the quote, "God is in the ________."

Answer: rain

Valerie said this quote in the flashback of her autobiography, and Evey said it when she stepped out onto the roof with V, discovering she was stronger and more fearless than she thought.
10. Which of these 'v' words were not mentioned in V's introduction speech?

Answer: vitality

My favorite line in the movie was said during V's introduction speech: "The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta, held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous."
