Gordon hosts one of the television shows at the studio where Evey (played by the beautiful Natalie Portman) works and is also a close friend. He invites her to dinner but being out after curfew, the Fingermen find her and threaten her. V saves her from being attacked by these men and asks Evey to join him in witnessing his first act of terrorism - the explosion of the Old Bailey tower.

Answer: sprays pepper gas in the policeman's eyes

V (played by the talented Hugo Weaving) has just broadcast a message to the entire country, asking for their support and telling them how their controlling government must be taken down. Evey is moved by his message and when she sees that V is about to be caught, she helps him.

The guard knocks her unconscious and V carries her back to his home. V saves her because he is afraid that the police would torture her in order to get to him. Unfortunately, V tells Evey that she is now thought to be a conspirator and she must stay with him for a year, until November the 5th, when he plans his final act against the government - destroying the Parliament building.

Answer: biological disaster

A government created virus was released at the St. Mary's school where he attended. Dozens of young children died and the government also poisoned the city's water supplies. In the newspaper clippings that Evey reviews, one headline declares that over 80,000 citizens had been killed.

This was the government's way of controlling its citizens, by inducing fear and giving rise to a totalitarian system.

Answer: God Save The Queen!

Gordon explains that he admires V for standing up against a government that is intolerant of individuality. Gordon tells Evey that he is a homosexual, which is absolutely forbidden in England's society under the rule of the Chancellor. Evey fears for Gordon's safety but he reassures her that she is welcome to stay with him and hide from the police.

Answer: Process her

By processing her, they shave her hair and strip her of her clothes. She is thrown into a tiny, windowless cell and given food that only a resident rat will eat. She is periodically taken from her cell, interrogated and tortured, but she never reveals the identity of V.

Answer: Valerie

She was a young actress and was also gay. She fell in love with a woman and lived with her for many years - the best years of her life. However, once the Chancellor came to power, homosexuality was forbidden and both Valerie and her lover were taken away. Valerie wrote the letter on toilet paper, as her last testament, to be found by the next inmate. Valerie's letter gives Evey strength and comfort during her imprisonment.

Answer: No

Evey is actually imprisoned by V, who captures her at Gordon's apartment shortly before the Fingermen find her. He imprisons her to test her loyalty and ultimately releases her from her own fears. She, of course, is overcome with rage when she learns that he is responsible for her torture and imprisonment but soon realizes that he actually freed her from herself.

She can now be like her parents and make a difference in the world.

Answer: dance with him

He asked her to dance earlier in the movie but it isn't until the end, on the eve of November 5th that she says yes. As they dance, you can see how much they love each other but V knows that his fate does not lie with Evey. He must see his plans through in order to give the people of England a better future.

Answer: I don't want you to die.

He finds peace after she says it and quietly expires. She places him on the train, surrounded by his beautiful red roses and leaves his mask on. She then releases the handle and sends the train, full of explosives, to Parliament.

Answer: No

Evey wants to see what is underneath V's mask when they are dancing but he asks her not too. Even after he dies, Evey respects his wishes and never removes the mask. If you notice during the final credits, when they list Hugo Weaving, they show a sketch of the mask, not the actor's face like they do for the others.
