Amy, played by Mila Kunis, is a mother of two who is trying too hard to be a perfect person. She has a career, a husband, and two children. At the beginning of the movie, she is busy making the family breakfast, packing their lunch, taking the children to school and events, racing to work, and feeling overwhelmed.

She even goes so far as to do her children's homework and completes a project for her son by making a giant papier-mâché bust of Richard Nixon.

Answer: He is on a live webcam with a naked woman.

Amy walks in and finds Mike in front of a pornographic web site. She assumes it is a still image until the woman on the web site talks back and she realizes it is a web camera conversation. The woman, still nude, introduces herself as Sharon and explains this has been happening for almost ten months. Mike tries to explain to Amy that it is "mainstream" and "not cheating". Amy does not agree with that explanation!

Answer: Raisins

Gwendolyn, played by Christina Applegate, passes out flyers and stops parents at the school to remind them to attend an "emergency" PTA meeting. It turns out the reason for the hasty gathering is to enforce the rules of the upcoming bake sale. Gwendolyn's PowerPoint presentation lists things not to include in the baked goods including MSG, BHA, BPA, BHT, soy, nuts, milk, eggs, butter, sesame, wheat, sugar, and salt! Then she goes on to "nominate" people to police this event.

Answer: Kiki

Kiki, played by Kristen Bell, is a stay at home mom of four children. At the bar, she tells the others that she is so overworked she dreams of rest. In fact, she mentions she fantasizes about getting in a wreck where she will be admitted to a hospital for two weeks and eat jello while watching TV and getting balloons. Her new-found friends decide they will never ride with her!

Answer: Swordfish

Carla, played by Kathryn Hahn, is a single mother of a high school junior. She leads the women on a wild run through the supermarket while drinking cocktails. The only time they stop their escapade through the aisles is to halt and admire a cute little baby girl.

At checkout she peels off dollar bills to the young male clerk and proudly leaves the store carrying a giant stuffed and mounted swordfish while her friends leave with groceries and a suit of armor.

Answer: Martha Stewart

Gwendolyn has Martha Stewart at her party where Martha passes out meatballs. However, Gwendolyn's very dry subject matter starts to bore the guests and they all head to Amy's house where cheap wine and loud music can be found. By the end of the evening, Martha Stewart has also joined the new party and is serving vodka Jell-O shots she proudly announces "starts her day".

The night is a huge success for Amy and her candidacy.

Answer: They should get divorced immediately

Dr. Karl, played by Wanda Sykes, is horrified by their behavior. At the start of the session she assures them that all marriages are "saveable". However, Mike cannot think of more than one positive thing to say about Amy. Then, during role playing, they start screaming at each other.

By the end of the session, Dr. Karl announces that "as a human being" she must advise them to divorce ASAP. She describes their current relationship as "catastrophic".

Answer: Quit

This scene highlights one of the resounding messages of the movie. Kiki and Carla tell Amy that nobody is perfect and there is no sense in trying to be the flawless mother. They tell her that is is OK to be a "bad mom" because everyone is at one point or another.

They also point out to her that "moms don't quit" and that they go out there and continue to be the best mom they can because, no matter what, they love their children. Because of this encouragement, Amy decides to head out to the meeting and finish up her run for PTA president.

Answer: Castle

Gwendolyn breaks down in sobs as she tells Amy the truth behind her life. She states that her husband was caught embezzling millions from a children's charity, that she is addicted to pain medications, that her brother was a member of ISIS, and that her DVR inexplicably quite recording "Castle". Amy points out to her that this simply makes her normal and reiterates the message that it is OK to be a bad mom.

Answer: In Gwendolyn's husband's private plane

Gwendolyn picks them up in front of the school and surprises them when she stops at the local airport. They get out to discover that Gwendolyn has use of her husband's private plane for the day. The four new-found friends laugh and head to the plane, secure in the knowledge that it is "OK to be a bad mom".
