Bruce Willis is a well-known actor, who has been in the "Die Hard" movies and "Armageddon", to name a few. He originally signed on the project to play Terry, with Val Kilmer playing Joe. Kilmer had to drop out of the project and Willis, who wanted to play Joe anyway, switched to that part.

Billy Bob Thornton was asked to play the part of Terry by Bruce Willis, who had worked with Thornton on "Armageddon". He took the part because Cate Blanchett agreed to play Kate. His character Terry is a hypochondriac. He is also afraid of antique furniture, a fear that the writer's got from a real fear of Thornton's.

Answer: They spend the night at the bank manager's house.

In order to control the environment, they kidnap the manager (and the family in some cases) the night before. The next morning, they go in with the keys and vault codes, take the money, and are gone without threatening tellers or customers.

Joe presses the highlighter against the guard's neck and then takes the guard's gun. As they leave, Joe hands the guard the highlighter, telling him he can use it to highlight things. It's extremely hilarious. It's based on a true incident.

This song is by Bonnie Tyler. According to Joe, "It's the ultimate sappy chick song." Kate feels bad because she's made a fabulous dinner for her husband, and he leaves for a dinner appointment with clients. Terry runs in front of Kate's car because he wants to steal it, but she hits him instead and loads him into her car to take to the hospital.

He tries to get her out of the car when he comes to, but she ends up driving him to the meeting place with Joe and Harvey instead.

Answer: A young man was shooting a music video nearby and turned his camera to catch the action.

The footage appears on TV, confirming the fact that the missing woman, Kate Wheeler, is indeed with the sleepover bandits. The footage makes it appear that she is an unwilling hostage. This prompts a message on the news from her husband, who says, "Please, wherever you are, return my wife to me. Kate, if you're listening, I want you to know that I'm OK. I hope you're holding up well, I hope that these gentlemen are treating you correctly, the way you should be treated. And speaking of which, I'm going to Spain next week, so if your kidnappers would like to contact me, they can get in touch with my people, and you know who they are.

The house is waiting for you, right here, where you belong. And the house misses you, I miss you... " Kate flipped off the TV at this point.

His dream is to get a suit so he can set himself on fire. When we first see him, he is practicing falling off a building. He leaves the group for a while to go to Hollywood and pursue his career. In the end, he does get a chance to set himself on fire.

Joe tells Terry his older brother died of a brain tumor and smelled burning feathers all the time. Terry then seems to have all the symptoms, escalating to numb lips and legs that won't work. As soon as Kate tells Terry that Joe never had a brother, Terry is miraculously cured.

Note: My sister claims that dead ants on wet cement have a distinct smell and she can smell them every time it rains.

Kate can't decide between the two. Together, they make the perfect man. The final scene shows her holding hands with both and kissing them both, and they all look happy and comfortable with the relationship.

Joe and Terry stage a robbery in a big bank in the middle of the day. Kate goes to the police with information, so Joe and Terry appear to have a shoot-out, killing each other. In reality, the shots were actually squibs, run by Harvey. Harvey and his girlfriend pose as paramedics and take the "dead" bodies out, along with the cash. On route, they stage an accident with the ambulance, which blows up (after they all got out, of course.) So the authorities think they are dead, when in fact, they are all living in Mexico, with Kate too.

This movie was based on the true story of two bank robbers who would spend the night with the bank manager in order to rob the bank the next morning. In reality, the robbers were caught and sent back to prison.
