"Good Will Hunting" is a 1997 film starring Matt Damon as Will Hunting. Will is a young man who is employed at a janitor at MIT. Will, despite his career, is a genius who gains the attention of Professor Lambeau (Stellan Skarsgard). Lambeau urges Will to reach his full potential and sets up numerous opportunities for Will.

However, Will ignores most of them and sends his best friend Chuckie (Ben Affleck) in his place. Lambeau has a therapist named Sean Maguire (Robin Williams) to figure out what is stopping Will from reaching his full potential.
2. George Reeves, an actor known for playing Superman

"Hollywoodland" is a 2006 film that tells a fictionalized version of events surrounding the death of George Reeves (Ben Affleck). Reeves is an actor best known for playing Superman whose death is initially ruled as a suicide via gunshot. Adrien Brody plays Louis Simo, a private investigator looking into Reeves' death in order to make money by creating hoopla and scandal.

The film dramatizes Shakespeare's life as he writes one of his most famous plays "Romeo and Juliet". Viola and Shakespeare are lovers and Viola gives him the romantic inspiration he needs to get over his writer's block. Ben Affleck plays Ned Alleyn, the actor cast as Mercuito. "Argo" is a 2012 film that tells the story of CIA operative Tony Mendez (Ben Affleck) who was part of the effort to rescue American hostages from Iran in 1979. Mendez comes up with the idea of planning a fake science-fiction film, called "Argo", and pretends to scout out filming locations in Iran.

In reality, he is actually helping to smuggle some of the hostages, who escaped their captors, out of Iran. John Goodman plays John Chambers, a famous Hollywood makeup artist whom Mendez works with on the fake film.

"The Town" is a 2010 crime film starring Ben Affleck as Doug MacRay. Doug leads a band of bank robbers in Boston. One day while the gang robs a bank, Jem (Jeremy Renner) takes a hostage named Claire (Rebecca Hall). After the gang escapes from the bank, Doug seeks out Claire to see what she knows and if she can identify any of the robbers.

However, the two fall in love just as Doug learns that Claire can identify one of the robbers because of a tattoo.

"Armageddon" is a 1998 film starring Bruce Willis as Harry Stamper, a deep-sea driller. Harry is asked by NASA to go into space and destroy a meteor heading for Earth by drilling into the center of it and blowing it up via nuclear bomb. Harry is joined on his mission by A.J. Frost, his daughter Grace's (Liv Tyler) boyfriend. Harry thinks Grace can do better than A.J., something that repeatedly causes tension between Harry and A.J. during their mission.
7. First Lieutenant Rafe McCawley, pilot during World War II

In this 2001 film, Ben Affleck plays Rafe McCawley, a fighter pilot during World War II. Josh Hartnett plays Danny Walker, Rafe's best friend and fellow pilot. While enlisted, Rafe meets a nurse named Evelyn (Kate Beckinsale) and falls in love with her.

However, Rafe is promoted to Eagle Squadron and is separated from Evelyn and Danny. In his absence, Danny and Evelyn strike up a relationship until Rafe returns on the eve of Pearl Harbor.

"Jersey Girl" is a 2004 film starring Ben Affleck as Ollie Trinke. Ollie works as a publicist which dominates his life after the death of his wife Gertie (Jennifer Lopez). He eventually meets Maya (Liv Tyler) for whom he has feelings for, but Ollie is too distracted with his life to do anything about them.

"Reindeer Games" is a 2000 film starring Ben Affleck as Rudy Duncan, a recently released prisoner. Rudy's cellmate in prison was Nick Cassidy (James Frain) who was killed shortly before his release. Rudy pretends to be Nick in order to meet Nick's pen pal Ashley (Charlize Theron) who wrote to Nick in prison and never met him.

However, Ashley's brother Gabriel (Gary Sinise) wants to use Nick to rob a casino.

"Dogma" is a 1999 film starring Ben Affleck and Matt Damon as fallen angels, Bartleby and Loki, respectively. Bartleby and Loki are thrown out of heaven and into Wisconsin were they discover they can return to heaven by having their sins forgiven during a ceremony in New Jersey. They are encouraged to do so by Azrael (Jason Lee), the Angel of Death.

Meanwhile a woman named Bethany (Linda Fiorentino) is asked by God to stop Bartleby and Loki from returning to heaven because if they do, humanity will be destroyed.
