Gabriella jumps in, pulls him to the deck, and administers CPR. Jerry admits that he doesn't think he could ever feel this way about a girl again, and he hasn't been able to stop thinking about her since that night.

A good portion of the plot involves Jerry's pursuit of Gabriella from that point forward.

Throughout the movie Gabriella, played by Roselyn Sanchez, is constantly making negative remarks about men, as she has pretty much given up on love after some rotten apples in her life. She tells Jerry that she prefers instructing gay dance classes because the men aren't as lustful towards women.

At first Nick thinks he is now gay because he woke up next to a man the previous night and assumes that they had fooled around. When he learns that nothing had actually happened, he runs after Inga.

Hector is played by Maurice Godin, who has primarily done television cameos on shows such as "3rd Rock from the Sun", "Friends" and "Las Vegas". In this scene, he is in Nick's room trying to support Nick in his onset pseudo identity crisis. After playing poker with a group of gay men, Nick is starting to realize that he has misjudged them all along and that he is actually really comfortable hanging out with them.

Sonya is very strict and demanding of the girls and is always trying to keep them in line and mentally prepared for the competition. At one point in the film, after Nick pretends to be gay so the girls will let him rub tanning oil on their bodies, Sonya takes one look at him and figures out rather quickly that he's straight.

This results in Sonya displaying a massive amount of strength by picking him up and sending him for a ride through the air. It looks quite painful!

Roger Moore, one of the original James Bonds, plays Lloyd, who is constantly hitting on Nick throughout the film. In one scene, he sits down to have breakfast with Nick and his sausage innuendo is not received too well by the recipient.

In this scene, Jerry is asking Hector for tips on how to act gay so he can successfully fool Gabriella. As mentioned before, Gabriella does not think very highly of straight men and Jerry feels that by putting on this charade, it will allow Gabriella to let her guard down around him so they can really get to know each other.

He plans on revealing the truth to her later on thinking she will be ecstatic that they can be together. Hector leads him in an impromptu duet of "I Will Survive" at the piano and Jerry has a hard time with the lyrics.

Hector therefore advises him that he'd better learn the lyrics if he wants to pass himself off as a gay man, since every gay man knows the lyrics to this classic tune. "I Will Survive" was first released in 1978 and was originally performed by Gloria Gaynor.

Felicia, played by Vivica Fox, breaks up with Jerry right after he proposes to her, in a romantic hot-air balloon ride. He is so broken up about it that six months later, Nick drags him on the cruise. Towards the end of the movie, Felicia's dad helps her find Jerry and she heads off to board the gay cruise to try to win Jerry back.

She is then shocked to find Jerry enjoying himself dancing around on stage in a peacock-like drag ensemble.

Gabriella really uses a different word to compliment him, and she actually says it again as Jerry doesn't hear her the first time. At a different point in the movie when they're dancing together, Gabriella also tells Jerry that he moves and touches her like a straight man would, even though she still thinks he's gay at this point.

Earlier in the film, Nick is playing around on the ship deck with a flare gun. He fires it off and it hits an overhead helicopter, sending it crashing to the chilly waters below. Ironically enough, this turns out to be the same helicopter that is carrying the bikini-clad girls, and they are later rescued from their raft by the cruise ship.
